Giant Mosaic Making: A Creative and Collaborative Team-Building Experience

This hands-on, artistic activity will inspire teams to work together as they create a stunning large-scale mosaic from tiles they smash themselves, blending teamwork with artistic expression in a fun, stress-relieving environment.
How It Works:
Teams of 6-10 people will be given a variety of colorful tiles and materials to design and build a giant mosaic. But first, they’ll get to break the tiles into pieces! Participants will collaborate every step of the way to:
- Break Tiles: Safely smash tiles to create colourful, mosaic-ready pieces. This stress-relieving step adds a fun, hands-on element to the process.
- Design the Mosaic: Teams work together to choose an image or pattern for their mosaic, combining individual creativity with team collaboration.
- Assemble the Artwork: Using the broken tiles, participants carefully place the pieces onto a large board, bringing their shared vision to life.
- Present the Masterpiece: At the end, each team presents their completed mosaic, showcasing their teamwork and creativity.

Make one giant mosaic, by all working together!
As an alternative to teams making their own designs, we can work with you in advance to come up with one image which will be made by the group as a whole. This image can be unique to you – we build in your values, your concepts, and even your company logo!
In the activity we still break the group down into teams as above, but now we provide each team with a full size colour template for them to use. Each team makes just one piece of the “puzzle” – and when the pieces come together, they see the incredible result that they have created by all working together.
